Remote Plant Imobilisation Unit

Remote Imobilisation

The majority of companies require the ability to immobilise their equipment remotely. RingTrack make this possible - no need for calls to each and every vehicle, costing money and time; it's done at the click of a button.

By simply choosing a single unit, a group of units or all the units, the equipment can be remotely immobilised and secured, with alert systems in place for each and every unit, wherever it is based.

An item of Plant that is stolen, or otherwise Used without permission, can be immobilized by remote control. Remote immobilization is normally initiated from the call-centre or the customer with the correct permissions. After the necessary security check a special message is transmitted to the Units telematics unit that performs the action. Resetting the immobilization can be done by the call-centre odr the customer..

Live Tracking:

RingTrack customers can view the location of their equipment on the latest digital mapping - either on standard mapping, or as a satellite aerial view - live over the internet. This facility enables the user to identify when the equipment is active and where it is.

geofencing:

A key requirement is the ability to 'geofence' the equipment to a specific location and/or within a specific time zone. The vehicle simply reports its position when it leaves or enters a predefined area, or within a specified time period.

If equipment is stolen or removed from a site, the operator is therefore immediately informed. Any company hiring the equipment will see the inherent benefits: equipment is likely to be found and returned almost immediately, reducing down time on site. The alert can be sent either to a mobile phone by Text or by e-mail.

Recording Hours of Use:

It's not unusual for Plant Hire end-users to be found using equipment out of hours. With no method of assessing this, some companies have been forced to book equipment for fewer days than they need, relying on the Plant Hire company not to collect the equipment on time and often resulting in lost revenue.

RingTrack records Hours of Use and a report produced which can be accessed through a secure internet connection, or can be sent on a regular basis by e-mail ina excel format providing the information to charge for out of hours use.
